A young Meridian caught sleeping when he should be studying. Meridian was very good at magic, he had a natural knack for heat and light related spells. However, because he was talented his mother sort of doted on him, so he was also very lazy. He hated studying, he didn't think he needed it because he was already good. He was that one kid who always got A's without doing homework because he could pass tests in his sleep. Also, he was kind of a momma's boy.

His jewellery belonged to his great-grandfather. On his mother's side, a family of noble unicorns, they have a tradition of handing these down as a young pony ages. They are a symbol of one's accomplishments and standing within the family. Meridian earned his bracelets for earning his cutie mark. The tail and neck decorations came later in life. Day Break and Dim Day didn't have them because they are in limited quantity and a family member must bequeath the jewellery to a young pony in his or her will. Not to mention that, on their mother's side, Meridian's sisters were considered black sheep.

That depends. Do you get good grades on all your tests? If so, please continue what you're doing. Though regardless of whether or not this works for you, I am strongly opposed to spearing a book through its spine.
